The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed transition player Kevin Brownell to a two-year contract and forward Craig England to a one-year contract.
Brownell (6’1”, 179 lbs., 8/16/1988) is entering his sixth NLL season with the Bandits after being drafted by the team in the third round (22nd overall) of the 2012 NLL Draft. His 23 caused turnovers in 2017 ranked second among all Bandits and 15th overall in the NLL.
The Millgrove, Ontario native has appeared in 73 regular-season games for the Bandits, including each of the team’s 18 games during the last three seasons. In his career, he has totaled 72 points (23+49) and 335 loose balls, including nine career game-winning goals, and has added five points (1+4) in five career postseason contests.
England (6’2”, 210 lbs., 3/2/1990) appeared in 12 games for the Bandits in 2017, setting career-high totals in goals (17), assists (7) and points (24). A native of Fergus, Ontario, England enters his fifth NLL season in 2018. In 30 career games played for the Bandits, New England Black Wolves and Toronto Rock, he has recorded 27 points (17+10) and 71 loose ball recoveries.
