The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed defenseman Steve Priolo to a two-year contract, pending league approval.
Priolo (6’5”, 234 lbs., 1/15/1989) led all NLL defensemen with 22 points (7+15) in the 2017 season and led all Bandits with a career-best 131 loose balls. His efforts earned him a nomination as a finalist for the NLL Defensive Player of the Year award for the fourth straight season.
In eight seasons since joining the Bandits as a second-round selection (21st overall) in the 2009 NLL Draft, Priolo has appeared in 123 regular-season games for the team, trailing only John Tavares, Mark Steenhuis, Rich Kilgour and Billy Dee Smith for fifth-most games played in franchise history. The St. Catharines, Ontario native also ranks in the top 10 in Bandits history with 342 career penalty minutes (4th) and 622 loose balls (7th).
