Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler today announced the team has signed goaltender Mike Thompson and defenseman Steve Priolo to two-year deals, and goaltender Angus Goodleaf to a one-year contract. The Bandits also announced the signings of Scott Self, Alex Henderson, Tony Sorci and Pete Ragnar.
Thompson and Goodleaf recently shared the Major Series Lacrosse honor as the league’s top goaltender this summer while splitting the duties in Peterborough. Thompson was 9-1 with a 7.65 GAA, while Goodleaf was right behind him at 5-1 and 8.06.
Thompson (6/16/1976, 5’10”, 240 lbs.) was 5-1 with a 9.92 GAA and .809 save percentage in eight games last season. He has a 17-9 record in 65 career games, and backstopped the Bandits to the NLL Championship in 2008. The 2010 season was Goodleaf’s (3/6/1987, 6’0”, 240 lbs.) first in the NLL. He finished with a 1-3 record in four games, along with a 10.75 GAA and .785 save percentage.

Self (7/7/1979, 6’2”, 205 lbs.) is a rugged 10-year veteran defender acquired by the Bandits in a trade with Minnesota. He was originally drafted by Buffalo in the fourth round of the 1999 Entry Draft. He suited up for one game with the Bandits in 2001, but has since played in New York, Ottawa, Arizona, Chicago, Edmonton and Minnesota. Last season with the Swarm, he collected 12 points (1+11) and 76 loose balls in 16 games. For his career, Self has 133 points (31+102) in 141 games.
Henderson is a versatile forward looking to make his NLL debut with the Bandits after a tryout with the Minnesota Swarm last season. He most recently played for the Ajax-Pickering Rock of MSL, compiling six assists and four penalty minutes in eight regular season games.
Sorci and Ragnar are both former Bandits defensemen. Sorci (6/30/1982, 6’1”, 215 lbs.) appeared in one career NLL game with the Bandits in 2007 and Ragnar (10/18/1983, 6’1”, 200 lbs.) was a member of the Bandits’ practice squad in 2007 and 2008.
