FOURTH-YEAR MEMBER OF BUFFALO'S BANDETTES DANCE TEAMS WINS THIS WEEK'S VOTING
This week's NLL.com Girl of the Week - Jessica of the Bandettes - hails from Niagara Falls, NY. A veteran of the United States Navy equipped with a Bachelor of Science from Niagara University, Jessica is enjoying her fourth season cheering on the Buffalo Bandits. She has been dancing for quite a while now, starting when she was four years old, practicing everything from ballet to hip hop and lyrical to baton.
When she is not working for a travel agency in the area, Jessica loves cheering on all of the professional sports teams in Buffalo.
"(The Sabres) will bring the Stanley Cup to Buffalo," she said.
Of course, the Bandits are number one in her heart. While she says it is too hard to pick just one player as her favorite - "There is no I in team," she said - Jessica loves the fans in Banditland and giving back to the community. She prefers goals over fights and says the best part of the NLL is the Bandits' 2008 Championship.
Her perfect day should come as no surprise, then.
"When the Bandits win the 2011 Championship," Jessica said.
Jessica says her biggest strength is her dancing, while her biggest weakness is doing push ups. She describes the Bandettes as a "groovy" bunch and left with these final words when asked to talk about Mark Steenhuis' orange hair and shoes combination.
