On July 23rd, National Lacrosse League (NLL) fans from Toronto ON, Buffalo and Rochester NY, Boston MA, Minneapolis MN, and Chicago IL will join together for the 10th time to play in the annual FANN Cup benefit lacrosse tournament.  This year, the tournament will be held in the area where it all began, in the Greater Toronto Area.  NLL fans will play against each other at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreational Complex at 2440 King St. West in Bowmanville, ON from at 8am-5pm.    This is an event for amateur players of lacrosse, with a goal of raising funds for charity.  The tournament includes activities such as Chinese and Silent Auctions (including prizes donated from NLL teams), and will also have food available. Spectators are welcome and encouraged.  To date, the FANN Cup tournaments have raised over $50,000 in charitable contributions.  This year's tournament will benefit the Abilities Centre, which aims to be a leader in helping people of all ages focus on their abilities and enhance their confidence and independence through state-of-the art opportunities. Donations will also be given to The War Amps, a Canadian nation-wide organization with the philosophy of “amputees helping amputees.”  For more information, email Donald Duclos at or visit
