Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler today announced that the Bandits have acquired All-Pro goaltender Anthony Cosmo from the Minnesota Swarm in exchange for two first-round picks, one in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft and another in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft.

“I am extremely excited to play for such a well-respected organization in the Buffalo Bandits,” said Cosmo. “I am humbled by the opportunity to play for a coach like Darris Kilgour and what are clearly the most passionate fans in the NLL.”

Cosmo (10/6/1977, 6’2”, 205 lbs.) is a five-time NLL All-Star who led the league with a 9.66 goals against average last season, which helped him earn Second Team All-Pro honors. The Mississauga, ON native was named the NLL’s Goaltender of the Year in 2007 while playing for the San Jose Stealth. He has a 10.32 GAA, .781 save percentage and a record of 59-50 over 159 career games played.

The 11-year veteran played three seasons with the Boston Blazers after four-year stints in both San Jose and Toronto. He was selected by the Swarm in the first round (3rd overall) of the Blazers dispersal draft that was held this past September.
