The National Lacrosse League today announced that Buffalo Bandits forward Mark Steenhuis has been named the Overall Player of the Month for February.
Steenhuis set three offensive records in back-to-back weeks and received three weekly honors from the NLL during February. Steenhuis set the NLL record for points in a single game with 17 (4+13) against Toronto on February 14. He was honored for his performance with the Overall and Offensive Player of the Week award. The following week he scored the game tying and overtime game winner on his way to setting the Bandits single game record for goals in a game with eight at Toronto on February 20.
Steenhuis closed the month with the league lead in goals (35) and points (70). He will represent the Bandits at the NLL All-Star Game on Saturday. Steenhuis enters the game as the all-time leading goal scorer in All-Star game history with 16. He is three points behind John Tavares and Colin Doyle for the NLL lead in All-Star game points.
Steenhuis will be joined by John Tavares, Roger Vyse, Chris White and Ken Montour at the NLL All-Star game on Sautrday. The game will be streamed live on the NLL Network at NLL.com at 9 p.m.

The Bandits next home game is on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. against the Portland Lumberjax.
