BANDITS SIGN POWLESS, SCHMELZLE

Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler today announced that the team has re-signed forward Delby Powless and defenseman Kyle Schmelzle to a one-year contracts.

Powless, scored 14 points (3+11) in eight games for the Bandits last season. Drafted by Buffalo in 2004, Powless has recorded 74 goals and 127 assists for 201 points in 67 regular season games and added 33 points (8+25) in 9 career playoff contests.

Schmelzle, registered six points (2+4) in ten games for Buffalo last season. Signed as an undrafted free-agent in 2007, Schmelzle has posted four goals and seven assists for 11 points in 19 regular season games.

The Buffalo Bandits also announced the team has signed 2009 sixth-round draft choice, Matt Friedman, to a one-year contract. Friedman, a Buffalo native, played locally at Canisius College.
